Journey to Spirtual Health: 6 Months of Prayer
Current focus: Trust
Join the CUMC faith family as we continue 6 months of prayer centered on our church. Here's the challenge: Pray for our church each day of the next 6 months & watch for the hand of God in our midst!
Using the acronym HEALTH we will focus on Healing, Encouragement, Acknowledgment, Love, Trust, and Hope. A guide is available for your use to direct your time of prayer outlining scriptures that relate to each month's spirtual theme. Everyone's participation is vital as we lift up our church and work to serve Jesus Christ. If you believe in prayer, join us on the journey...if you aren't sure about the power of prayer then take the challenge and see what God can do. And be sure and share your stories as the journey unfolds!

From the Heart
During November we will have our annual Stewardship Campaign. This year's theme is ....From the Heart. Over the next several weeks we will focus on our walk with God and how it impacts the way we use our time, money, gifts, & prayers. The campaign will culminate in our Consecration Sunday Celebration and our annual Thanksgiving Dinner on Sunday, November 23rd. On that Sunday, Sunday school classes will meet at 9:30 a.m.; we will have one worship service at 10:30 a.m. and Thanksgiving Dinner is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. Please be in prayer for our church and how God can use you in the coming year and make plans to be with us as we give thanks to God.

Check out the "book shelf"!
Have you noticed that latest addition to our Welcome Center? The "book shelf" was started with books purchased at Women of Faith events and will be expanded to include other Christian materials. There will be a simple check out procedure to read items from the shelf. If you have books that you like to donate or loan to the project, bring them to the church office. And don't forget about the church library located in the church parlor.
Charge Conference
Our annual Charge Conference is scheduled for Wednesday, December 10th at 6:30 p.m.
Calling all Veterans
If you have served in any branch or our military or are currently active duty service personnel, the children of our CDO program would like to honor your service to our country. Please provide your name, branch of service, and years of service to the church office at 237-3938.
Youth Collecting Cell Phones & Ink Cartridges
The Christ United youth are currently collecting used cell phones empy ink cartridges (both ink jet and laser) as a fund raiser. This is a great way to support our youth and help the environment! A recycling box is available in the Welcome Center. Simply place your used cell phone or empty ink cartridge in the box. Each used phone is worth from $1-$50! And each empty ink cartridge is worth $1. Empty cartridges can also be taken to Cartridge World of Enid -- when they are refilled, mention CUMC and our youth will earn $1.
Support the Shephards Cupboard Food Bank
Don't forget to pick up a few extra non-perishable food items each week to share with the Food Bank at Bethany UMC. Collection barrels are available near both worship area. Plastic grocery bags and cash donations are also welcome. This vital ministry helps hundreds of individuals right here in Enid!
