Jim graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelors of Science in Biology and also holds a Master of Divinity from Phillips Theological Seminary in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

 

Jim is a native of Oklahoma having grown up in Stroud where he graduated from high school.  After attending Oklahoma State University, he attended the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine for one year.  After spending several years in sales and management, primarily with Abbott Laboratories, he answered the call to ministry in 1989.  Jim served at Village UMC in Oklahoma City and at Cashion as a student pastor and then as the associate pastor of Nichols Hills UMC in Oklahoma City.  He was pastor of Grace UMC in Altus for eight years before coming to Christ United in June, 2004.

 

Jim and his wife, Lou Ann, have been married since 1978 and have three children – Chris and his wife, Emily, live in Stillwater; Laurie who is at Southwestern OSU in Weatherford as a Pharmacy student, and Tyler, who is 14.

Deana is the Administrative Assistant for CUMC as well as the director of our Children's Day Out program.  She is available in the office to answer your questions on both church activities and the CDO program!

Jo Campbell, Organist & Choir Accompanist

Jo started playing the piano at age 5, and the organ in junior high school.  She began her career in church music at her home church in Hunter, Oklahoma, while in high school.

 

Jo holds a Bachelor of Liberal Sciences degree from Oklahoma University and works part time as a tax accountant.  She lives on a farm and enjoys working with small animals and gardening.  Her son, Adrian, is a student at OU.

 

 

 

Laurie Fanning, Youth Minister

Laurie is a pharmacy student at Southwestern Oklahoma State University and works extensively with the SWOSU Wesley Foundation in addition to her youth work at CUMC.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Heather Skinner, Nursery Attendant

Heather brings a ready smile and a love for children to the nursery at CUMC, providing age appropriate activities and caring for our children under the age of 5.
