CUMC is proud to offer its 15th Annual Community Pumpkin Patch!

Every October, the lawn of CUMC is filled with pumpkins, gourds, hay, and colorful fall backdrops.  And each year families from all over come to pick out that perfect pumpkin and enjoy the home-made goodies and fun fall activities provided by CUMC.  It's truly an event everyone can enjoy.

Parents: It's time for Halloween photographs.  Do you take pictures of your child every year in front of the same old living room sofa or pull down photographer's backdrop?  This  year make your pictures come alive!  Bring your kids (in costume) and your camera -- we'll help you find the perfect spot in the patch for a one-of-a-kind photo with a backdrop of real pumpkins and fall fun!

Teachers, Daycare Providers, Scout leaders: Schedule a special time in the patch for your group.  Your group can enjoy great fall stories and fun pumpkin patch games plus pick out their very own mini-pumpkin for just 50 cents!  To schedule a time for your group, call the church office at 580-237-3938 or Ardith Ray at 580-237-0499.

Artists: Do you dabble in sketching, painting, or photography?  A truly brilliant fall canvas awaits you at the patch.  Come and be inspired!

Artists can visit the patch from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. for inspiration and classes are welcome.

Autumn Lovers:  Cooling temperatures may say fall to some, but true autumn loves know it takes the sights and colors of autumn to bring the season to life.  The patch offers all the things you need to create a beautiful fall display for your porch, table top or mantel.  And it's all in one place -- what could be easier or more convenient.

And if your autumn means enjoying the wonderful smells of home-cooking... don't miss out on our famous Chicken Noodle Dinner.  This year's dinner is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on October 11th.  Taste how delicious our famous homemade noodles are and then buy a pound or two to take home for even more yummy dinners.

Safe Fun for the Smallest Trick or Treaters

The Pumpkin Patch will be open October 31st from 5:30 to 7:30 for trick or treating.  CUMC members & friends will have candy stations in the patch where even little ones can enjoy a safe night of fun trick or treating in a well lit area!

Hearts that want to help others: All of us have been touched this year  by the flood of images from tornados, hurricanes, earthquakes, and flooding.  These are just small windows into the pain and loss that exists in our world.  Often we truly want to help, but don't know how.  The CUMC Patch can be your connection to a hurting world.  When you purchase pumpkins, gourds, and other fall decorating items at CUMC the proceeds go to help those in need -- victims of natural disasters, children removed from abusive homes, nursing care for the elderly, families hurting because a parent has been incarcerated,  and other ongoing ministries of our church.  Check out our window display  "How do pumpkins help people?" for more info on these ministries when you visit the Patch.
